Our family skied at Grande Digue yesterday. The Club Castor is on Route 530, nearer to Cocagne than Grande Digue, and about a 45 minute drive from Sackville. It's probably the best place for families in the area because the trails are groomed, and very flat. It's on private property and there are no ATV's. Even the snowmobilers are very careful when they cross the one intersecting track. The Club Castor consists of a series of ski loops which are centred on a Camp. Each loop is from 1.5 to 4 km. The Camp provides washroom facilities, light snacks and even beer. You can purchase a season's pass or pay as you go. It's $5.00 per family per visit, and well worth it.

On February 21 there will be a fundraiser, with proceeds going to a sailing programme for handicapped persons. Cost is $10 per adult, less for students (can't remember exactly) and free for children under 12. Registration & start is from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM, and prizes will be given at 3:00 PM. There will be $1,700 in prizes! If there's no snow, then the fundraiser will be held on the 28th. Hope to see you there, and perhaps someday we'll have something like this in Sackville :-)
