Blue trail is broken to Drop-off Ridge, very good track; solid snow with little collapse under-foot. Many skiers showed up early and contributed to the trail-breaking. It is also partially broken towards Breau Creek from the snowmobile trail near the oil rig site.
I agree with Harold about Le Club Castor; nicely groomed classic trails, gentle but varied terrain, nice club-house and friendly atmosphere. I believe that they serve Acadian meals on many if not all weekends.
Last week Cy, Roy & I had a very nice ski from Evan to Johnson's Mills (nice view of the bay & Shepody Mtn) where a snowmobile had gone straight at Second Wescock Hill and accessed a new road left by forestry operations in the area. (To access, go up the hill at Frosty Hollow then left on the road on top of the hill, by Phinney's Scrap Yard.) Clarence
