Skiing remains great, as long as you pick your spots. Skidoo trails off King to Blue sign and beyond are fine for both classical or skating. The ATV groomer has been around and ground up the crust a bit making for the softest surface but unfortunately the ATV's have been out a lot so it's a bit rutted. The blue trail system is a bit humpy in spots and the hills are fun, albeit a tad dangerous. There remains a few cm of snow in most places with excellent coverage by the underlying crust which also makes for fine walking. Even the Crooked Tree Trail is doable and fast but ...watch out for that tree!! -it seems to get closer to the ground with every snowfall. The highlight of the spring skiing has to be the run down the Yellow to Petrie's folly, if you like moguls(sp?).

Cy & I had a very good ski from end of Mount View road to near Memramcook East following the ATV / Irving road. Very smooth hard crust covered by 3 cm. fresh snow. It is very open to the sunshine. cheers, clarence (March 11)

We had a fine ski today (March 9) from top of Mount View to snowmobile shelter, using warm weather skis or klister.

Once this surface of ice pellets freezes it will not be very good, unless snowmobiles stir it up or the sun warms it up. The good news is that the rain did not significantly melt the snow in that area.

cheers, Clarence
